Symmetry, Hierarchy and Geometry

In all cases symmetry is non existent, but all buildings do have balance. Boat House isn't perfectly symmetrical, but is perceived as such.
In hierarchy red color highlights dominant aspect of the building, blue - sub-dominant, green - subordinate.

  1. Vlad,

This is really good work. Keep it up. It seems you have a pretty good grasp of the task at hand.

  2. The content here is rich and full of depth. I especially like the inclusion of color and the mix of 2-D and 3-D approaches. If to nitpick only one small thing (and it could be a personal preference issue), try to format the information consistently form project to project. Simply put if the symmetry diagram is a plan in one, try to make it a plan in all. Or include a plan and elevation (whatever the combination) even if one of them has no relevance. I could go onto a description of leader lines in construction details having parallel lines and identical break points...but I won't

  3. I see your point. This part of the project isn't my favorite particularly because the analysis, drawn from the available material, is difficult to make uniform, especially without sacrificing too much time... it's not what you think, I'm not lazy, I promise.
